bpdnotebook:

advice for borderlines (based on my experience):

  • if you’re afraid you might hurt someone, that means you do care
  • isolation isn’t always the answer, but it can lead to one. pick and choose your moments
  • be as forthright as possible. even if it doesn’t make any sense, keep talking, the words will find you
  • if your fp loves and values you, they will find the time, within reason. if not, they will find an excuse, or someone else.
  • it’s hard to tell the difference between “i’m busy” and “i hate you” and that’s okay. give it time, and it will become clearer to you.
  • you’re not manipulative.
  • you’re not abusive.
  • anyone who calls you any of the above is most likely an ableist, especially if you’ve already explained your symptoms.
  • drop anyone that makes you feel less than what you are. it’s hard and scary but if you know it’s the right thing to do, it’s better to get it out of the way so you can start the healing process.
  • you are strong and caring and you just need someone to see it, even if that person is you
  • i love you
  • keep fighting
